First, find out if you need a permit. In some areas in certain states you do –check before its too late! Spray paint is the most popular medium for street art, some of the best brands are Montana, MTN, and Belton/Molotow, and you can pick those up at your local art store. Next, you’ll want to make a stencil. Stencils provide easy and accurate spraying once it comes time to put your work up on the wall. Grab a poster board and an x-acto knife and carefully cut out your design.
