Fun Dodge Electives

Story by Caitlin Manocchio

Want to take a fun class at Dodge and you aren’t a major or minor, check out these fun electives.

FTV 329 Finding the Actor Within You

One of the only acting classes at Dodge open to non-screen acting majors. Taught by the incredible Stephanie Feury, daughter of prestigious acting teacher Peggy Feury, helps students discover who they are and develop the skills to shine on stage and the silver screen.

FTV 310 Industry Insiders

Every semester Dodge College is honored to have a filmmaker in residence. Past filmmakers in residence have included Cheryl Boone Isaacs, President of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, producer Cathy Schulman, director William Friedkin, and writer/producer Leslie Dixon. Current filmmaker in residence is producer Gary Foster. In the course students watch the filmmaker’s past work and have Q&A’s following the screenings with special guests.

TWP 329 The New Era of Television

New to the Dodge catalogue, The New Era of Television gives students the opportunity to attend screenings and Q&A’s with the top television professionals in the industry. Students this semester even attended an event on the Sony Pictures backlot with Netflix’s Ted Sarandos, Sony Pictures Television president Steve Mosko and AMC Chief Operating Officer Ed Carroll.
