The key to the best drinks is using good ingredients, said Haven Gastropub bartender Matt Young.
“We put an emphasis on doing everything in the most natural and highest quality,” Young said.
To make a stand out cocktail, look past the tastes you hold dear.
“When you’re using flavors you don’t like to use, that’s when you learn the most about cocktail building,” Young said. “One of my favorite things to use is banana, because that’s one of the least used flavors in craft cocktails.”
