· The Kumeyaay have lived on the region that’s today known as San Diego County for longer than 10,000 years. They survived as horticulturists and hunters and gatherers with Nature playing an extremely important role to their existence and culture.
· Dalai Lama is the head monk of the newest school of Tibetan Buddhism. The current Dalai Lama is the 14th and was born in 1935 as Lhamo Döndrub. In 1989 won the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts regarding the freedom of Tibetans.
· The five Ks in the Sikh religion are: Kesh- uncut long hair, Kangha- small wooden comb, Kara- iron bracelet, Kachera- specific undergarment and a Kirpan- short dagger.
