Get Involved: Chapman Outdoor Clubs

Chapman Hikers  

Chapman Hikers is a group of students who share a love for hiking. The organization has a Facebook page open to Chapman University students. The members post hikes they are going on asking if people want to join. It fosters community involvement and an a great environment to meet new Chapman University students.

Senior Studio Art Major Lauren Potts is an avid user of the Chapman Hikers Facebook page, “it’s great to get together with other students and explore Orange County. We might as well take advantage of Orange County while we are here.”

Snow Club

The Snow Club is a well-known club amongst Chapman University students. The club gives members an opportunity to spend a few weekends in Mammoth. The club is open to students with a desire to ski, snowboard, or even just spend a weekend in the snow.

The Snow Club is a great way to enjoy the outdoors for an extended period of time. Club president Natalie Haber said she met some of her best friends through Snow Club; “It’s great to do something I love, like skiing, while being able to hang out with a group of really cool Chapman kids.”

Surf Club

According to Chapman’s Surf Club OrgySync description the club promotes surfing as a “well-rounded way to promote a healthy mind and body for all individuals.”  

Orange County is famous for it’s pristine beaches perfect for catching waves so why not take the opportunity to spend some quality time with Chapman University students and take a break from studying at the beach.
